2015 AMWA Indiana chapter conference announced
The Indiana chapter of the American Medical Writers Association will hold its annual conference at the historic Columbia Club in Indianapolis on April 10-11.
Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from a range of educational and networking events, and the keynote address will be by best-selling author and leadership expert Dr. Annie McKee (coauthor of Primal Leadership and Resonant Leadership, and the author of Management: A Focus on Leaders).
Two credit workshops will be offered: Basics of Epidemiology and Understanding Sample Size and Study Power. Both workshops will be taught by Dr. Bart Harvey, an associate professor at the University of Toronto's Dalla Lana School of Public Health. The workshop credits can be applied toward AMWA certificate requirements.
The Friday (April 10) roundtable discussions will cover topics such as tips for freelance writers, opportunities in medical device writing, opportunities in AMWA, medical education, and more.
The Saturday (April 11) open sessions will cover diverse topics that are relevant to medical communicators whether they are from the medical, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or device fields. See our conference brochure for a full schedule.
